So I just got a PS3 (120GB slim) and I have it plugged into my tv via HDMI cable. Now the TV is connected to my computer through the red/white audio connectors to the "line in" plug in the back of my computer then out to my 5.1 speaker set up. I've used this set up with my XBOX 360 in the past, and it's been great. However, I just noticed that both right speakers don't have sound with games or Blueray. I know they work, because I still have sound when things are played off my computer. Are there any settings that I can fiddle with to fix this?

On the PS3, go to Systems > Audio. I thing that Stereo 2.1 is the best output option that you can get from Red/White audio connection. Kind of a waist for a 5.1 setup. Would be nice if your PC has an Optical audio input. You can get up to 7.1 from it.

Ya, my PC doesn't have an optical in, but my computer speakers do. I have the Z-5500 Digital 5.1 Speaker System plugged into my computer through the regular speaker ports. Recently I picked up a digital optical audio cable, and plugged that directly into the PS3 and speaker terminal. It's working alright, though it's a little quieter than I expected. The only thing I'm a little disappointed in is the inability to hook my TV up directly to the speakers or through my computer for 5.1. I also have an XBOX 360 hooked up. I found the Logitech 5.1 Game Console Adapter that has the stereo red/white audio in-put and the 5.1 computer speaker out-puts. The only problem with this is that there is no way for me to easily switch between PC and TV. Is there anything similar to this that also has in-put ports for a PC in addition to TV? Or if there's any other way to get the desired 5.1 from the TV through either the PC or speaker terminal.
