hi everybody,
i brought this cable http://www.mayflash.com/vgabox/vga004/images/1.jpg and connected it 2 my ps3 and every like 10 mins it goes black for a second and auto adjusts,whats realy annoying especially when you are plying online. the monitor i am using is a ACer AL1714, is there any way i could stop this? maybe change some settings? and i connected an ethernet cable to my ps3 and on my NEtgear DG843 v4 router the port '2'(the port the ps3 is connected to) goes green for a few seconds and signs me in,then the light goes off in port 2 , and signs me out ,then it keeps on doing that,I want to use ethernet becoz it is a better/stronger connection than wireless is there anyway to sort this out?? thanks.
Not sure if this helps, but if no one else will post, I will take a couple shots in the dark.
1.) Your screen is having troubles dealing with the resolution...the box only does 480P,720P,1080I, and 1080P...and your screen is not designed to do any of these well. If you set the resolution to only use 480P, it might fix the problem, or it might not.
2.) Have you tried switching ports? Does the PS3 connect OK on other ports? Do other devices connect ok on port 2?
sorry for the lare reply, i have got the screen resolution set to component/D-Terminal and i have ticked the 576p and 720p box if i only do the 576p box the monitor says input not supported and my 360 works in the same port with the same ethernet cable.
