i recently swapped a blueraydrive from my dead ps3 into one that wouldnt read discs, i paired the boards and loaded a game... nothing shows, it loads dvds and ps2 games fine.
i spoke to a guy who has a local repair console buisness and he stated that:-
my ps3 will never play ps3 games as even though i changed the drive motherboard, it will not be keyed to play ps3 games??? that it will work fine as a media server and dvd player and ps2 games but will never play ps3 games, without being able to write to the nand.
as stated it plays dvds and ps2 games fine?? any help with this matter would be great.
phoned sony and they say DURH not sure send it in for refurb £128
