So yesterday, I received my PS3Break 1.1 in the mail and anxious to try it out. Before doing, anything, I updated everything through the PS3Break website with the burner and backed up my Dead Rising 2.

I eject the disc and try to load the image I just backed up and it still says I require a game in the slot to start.

I thought this was a new feature in PS3Break 1.1, that I don't need a disc.

Anyone?

I would like to know this also, I have a ps3yes with hermes v4b and the latest open manager. I am still required to have a disc as well. I thought this was fixed several versions ago, it may be only to specific games though, Idk.

Note some games still require a disc in drive, this exploit is not 100%. A lot of games work without a disc, some require a disc, and there are few that do not even work.

If you just got your device then you most likely als ohave to flash it with the latest hex, which you can download from ps3break.com you will need version 1.5b as each dongle version requires a different hex file.

Did you install "Open Manager" or are you still on backup manager?

I'm still on Backup Manager I believe. How do I go about removing Backup Manager for my PS3 before installing Open Manager?

you don't need to uninstall BM, you just install OM and have both.

Alrighty, So I installed Open Manager and flashed my PS3Break 1.1 with the latest hex from their website.

I still need a game in the drive to boot.. In Backup Manager, it actually says I need to put any game to start. In Open Manager, it just freezes at a black screen.

Games I've tried, Dead Rising 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, Uncharted 2 all on the internal drive..

I use open manager and Hermes 4b, I have to use a disc for all games tried. Dead rising two, uncharted one, and red dead redemption. Seems we are having a similar problem, its no big deal but it would be nice.
