If you are using FLIP to flash your dongle you need to get signed drivers for win7 64bit as those included in the downloads arent signed.
http://bbs.a9vg.com/upfile/get/dd55e953b...gned-driver.zip
Extract and copy into the usb folder of FLIP
Find dongle in device manager goto properties then click update driver. then point it to the usb folder in the FLIP folder.

Chinese but yeah. Try this link:
http://bbs.a9vg.com/read.php?tid=1569790...d=1&uid=&page=1
Then scroll down until you see WIN7 X64
Then click the link below which says Flip-libusb-signed-driver.zip
And yup thats the other problem, finding the damn thing in the list :P
Try right at the top of the device manager list, it there is a section called Atmel or Libusb-win32 devices, it'll be in there.

Expand the usb controller list in device manager, is there an unknown usb device listed?
Or check through entire device manager list and see if anything has a yellow warning triangle next to it, then upgrade teh driver to those included in the above file.
If the dongle is there you are looking for something called AT90USB162. If you find this upgrade drivers, it might be under Other Devices in device manager.
Also try pressing and holding the upgrade button before you plug it into your pc, then let go when its in, see if that works.

Have you downlaoded the file I linked and copied the files to the usb folder below?
What happens when you update the driver and tell it to look in c:/program files/atmel/flip/usb ?

Most Ps3 break v1.0 (long one) are PIC chip inside, not an ATMEL chip(short one) which is upgradable and detects AT90USB162.

Try putting it into another usb port see how the pc detects it then...
Also on the dongle where does it say Upgrade, immediately right of the button or slight above it and to the right?
If it doesnt work try on another pc. Install FLIP first, then copy the 64bit files if the other pc has win7 64, then plug in the dongle, and again see what happens and whats listed in the device manager.
