I am at my wits end. My PS3 will get an internet connection just fine but when it comes to the part where you connect to the PSN it times out.
I tried to fix this problem for a long time when I tried to connect once when my computer was off but the router still on and it worked flawlessy.

First, the details: My computer is running Vista Home Premium 64 bit, I have a Netgear DGND3300 and I am connecting the PS3 wirelessly. PS3 is in a DMZ, ports forwarded aswell (just in case), PS3 gets 100% signal strength.

I don't know if it's Vista, the router or something else. I don't know why the connection will only work if my computer (which is wired to the router) is turned off. It is incredibly frustrating to only have one or the other and no one being able to use the internet if I'm playing the PS3 online.

I'm sure there's probably something simple causing this, whether in the router or whatever but I am desperate to resolve this problem I've had for months.

Netgear support supplied no help.

If anyone needs any details about setting in the router, I am more than willing to help.

Please tell me whatever it is that I am missing!
