i go into PSN see some classics i'd love to play. Silly me cant but it because i have no money in my PSN wallet so i put i few cc numbers here security code there. every thing is fine in dandy until The credit card information is not valid.okay maybe i didn't abbreviate something right. maybe my middle initial is throwing a wench into the cogs of the PSN CC checker. so after 10 tries and slight tweaking of my cc information. guess what yep The credit card information is not valid. so i went and did what i never do i checked my statement online but wait everything match up the first time. why didn't it work i wondered...My Account activity displays another fascinating and intriguing Fact the card work the first time as a matter of fact it worked 10 times. and The credit card information is not valid.is bull because Sony if you can take a dollar out for every time The credit card information is not valid. THERE IS SOMETHING REALLY Screwed UP YOU WEASELING SLIM BALLS. i expect full reimbursement
sigh i feel better now.

A senior member should know better than to use such foul language, you could have portrayed your voice in a mature manner, what sort of example do you think you are setting new members, truly shocking :(
Maybe you should take some time and re read the rules, #6 states.

dude just phone sony explain what happened and they'll reimberse you, if not phone your bank, and report it as a fraudulent transaction. Either way you will get your money back.
Oh and language like that on a family forum, never good, try using your inside voice next time >.<

i know what the rules are I've read them many times. im just really appalled that they would do such a thing, poor business practices and lying about it are just aggravating and disgusting.

There are many things that Sony have done recently, removing OtherOS etc, but i don't lose the head over it, as madshaun said, ring them up, they will sort you out.

The best thing you can do, is get a copy of the transaction from the bank and fax or post it to Sony.

So it just won't charge to the card? If that is the case, just go to the local 7-11, walmart, or whatever...and buy a PSN card for face value. This is better anyway, as you don't have to give your credit card info to Sony (I trust the gas station more!)

that's just it if my The credit card information is not valid then why on earth did it charge 1.00 for every time i attempted to use it only to get The credit card information is not valid again. i know merchants hit your account with 1.00 to see if your using a real card. but to hit the same card 10x for the same thing, something isn't right with this picture.
I'm calling Sony again tomorrow. likely I'll hear the same we don't have that credit card on file, story.

I don't know if this is what happened, but back when I was using my CC with PSN, it would always charge that $1, then it would charge the full charge the next day, and it would reverse the $1 charge. I would check the latest online statement to see if they didn't already refund those $1 charges.

DXR88, I had pretty much the same ordeal when up-dating an out of date Credit Card. I kept getting the Information Not Valid error. Like you, I tried several times. I did not check my cc online but they never actually charged me. I gave up and bought a PSN card at Wal-Mart. It is much easier to buy the card. I also deleted my Credit Card info off of PSN just in case someone gets smart enough to learn how to steal CC info.
I dont know whats up with the CC thing.

I don't think you would have gotten into any real trouble DXR88 (but I say that not seeing exactly what you wrote) because you have a right to be upset and vent/rant (within reason). I don't see why this can't be handled by Sony/PSN or whatever if you can explain your situation properly. Hope you get it sorted.

it was pretty nasty...
now that i had my RAWR i hate you moment, i'm good. got a hold of a Sony rep with brains, and they didn't have my card on file because it takes 48 hours for the card to clear. in other words i could have done it 1000 times and it would have still reported The credit card information is not valid.
the rep said there just being lazy and hadn't put a notice up yet. go figure eh.
i'll get my 10 dollars back in at least 5 business days.

Welcome to dealing with sony...the local gas station can verify a card in 3 seconds, but a huge, multi-national corporation takes 50,000 times longer to do the same thing!
