Ripping Blurays and copy protection with PS3

I bought a ps3 off ebay and its coming in this weekend, so I was wondering if there is any to rip a bluray and its copy protection to an mkv or any format with any linux distro that works on ps3.

You can use SwissArmyKnife to rip the entire BD disc to an external (or internal) hard drive, copy protection and all. From there you'd have to use AnyDVD or some other copy protection overwriting program to allow you to rip the contents of the BD disc. And then you'd be able to re-encode the video files to a smaller-sized (if that's what you want) .mkv file.

There's no "easy" way to do it, though, unless all you want is just the main movie and audio tracks. (Subtitles would require converting from BD subs to .srt or .sub or what have you, chapter lists would require copying the chapter points to a text file, etc.)

As far as using Linux to do it, though, I'm not sure. You can certainly rip the BD discs, but I'm not sure if that would remove the protection or not.
