I finally picked up an 80gb console. It lasted 2 weeks before going belly up. Returned it and picked up an 80gb backwards compatible. I was disappointed over losing my saved games. What I would like to do now is upgrade my HDD (I think I've got a grip on how) and if possible,
Make all my saves go to a usb drive as a default. I know how to put them on a flash drive but not as a default. Is it even possible?

Sorry, but I don't think that's possible. I think though that Sony should do something like that, or for a way to bring your profile with you (like with the 360), because it's a whole lot easier then having to drag your system with you everywhere...
