I just bought a sixaxis, but it doesn't have the dual shock. Is it possible to change it to have dualsock3?
I search all over the net and yet I have found no answer.
Bruce lee invented Vtec. Chuck Noris uses Ivtec

It would probably cost more to convert the controller than just buying a dual shock 3...even if it was possible.

I think (if Im not mistaking) that there are two kinds of controllers:
1. A controller with dual shock 3 (with vibration)
2. A controller without dual shock 3 (without vibration)
I think u cant make a controller without dual shock 3 to a one that have dual shock 3 because as cazer said the controller without the dual shock 3 doesnt have motors (thats why it is lighter than the other one).
Second, i dont know whether u like playing with vibration or not, but if u dont know how it is i can tell u as a ps3 player that it is not so bad but it is not so healthy to your hands. I played with vibration for about 3 weeks after i baught the ps3 (it was really fun) and then i stopped because i noticed that my hands shake after i play, and not a short time after playing only but almot all the time so i turned off the vibration option and my hands are ok now :).
im not saying u shouldnt buy the dual shock 3 (do whatever u want) but i just told u what happenned to me after playing with the dual shock 3.

you also have too remeber sony likes to change things. i know the first dualshock 3's are made differently then the new red and blue one's so with that there may not be a place to solder the motors to that will get the signal to turn on when they supposed to.

Also, when the system first came out, sony claimed that the dualshock 3 was impossible because the vibration screwed up sixaxis. They clearly found a way around this, but the fix is probably not included in the non-shock circuit board.

They told people that because they didn't have the right to use rumble. It never messed with the sixaxis.

Don't take apart your controller unless you really need to. My original controller analog pads and buttons were sticking, and I didn't want to shell out $40 for a new one. So I took mine apart to try to figure out how to unstick them. It took over an hour to get all the tiny pieces lined up correctly to get it back together again. I wanted to punch a hole in the wall. FInally got it working again with some WD40, but man, what a nightmare.

i got a decent question here.... why the f**k did you buy a sixaxis in october 2009, and 1 not realize it has no vibration, and 2 just go to f**king best buy and get a ds3, rather then go to some special store online and get a sixaxis?

Whats with the swearing, its not like you are getting flamed, if you cant answer a question like a mature adult, perhaps you shouldnt answer any at all.
@ 4g63evo, you could perhaps return your sixaxis staing that it has a fault and replace it with a DS3.

That's all i'm seeing in your two posts in this thread, and to add insult to injury you're using lazy and annoying text speak.

This. Is. Gold.
Also, if you had bought it at Wal-Mart, you could've done the ol' switcheroo. But seeing as how Best Buy actually knows what they're doing, I don't think it'll work on them.
