According to VG247, Sony is aiming to launch its next-gen console before the Next XBOX (by next year, of course).
Our source said that Sony is ?confident? it will have the console at market ahead of the next generation Xbox next Christmas.
?Sony are completely in the belief that they have the jump on Microsoft this time,? they said. ?You should be watching the timing of next year?s E3 keynotes, and who?s going to go first.?
According to that same source, a lot of devs are already working with it, and seems a few of them will be 'invited' to events this spring and summer:
?Top line publishers already know about it,? our source said. ?Developers working with publishers ? like Ubisoft, for example ? already know what?s going on. They?re already working on it.?
While ?most developers? will be fully briefed ?by the end of this year,? some have been invited to events in May and June in the US.
Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.
With the huge losses they have made $ony dont want to lose out again. Just look at how much Nintendo made at getting the Wii out first, though a lot of people do not class that as the a current gen console.
And with the xbox 360 being out a full year before the ps3, a lot of people bought the xbox, and so lost all those potential customers.
Even if $ony hasnt hunted down member sof the ps3 scene over the last year, I would still be skeptical of buying this PS4/Orbis on teh grounds that it still sounds like it is being rushed out in order to make profits, not a good console.
I am going to wait a year or even longer after it is released before I decide if I buy one of these to check if they finally managed to get the ylod out of their system. Sony didn't manage to do so with the PS3 slim, I am not totally confident the new PS4 is ylod-free (or the equivalent of it), especially when it's rushed out. The Xbox 360 slim doesn't seem to have the rrod anymore, so I hope the next Xbox is free of it too.
