An associate of mine just received a new replacement PS3 from Sony.
It?s a PLAYSTATION 3, 40GB Console (original model) with 1 controller & power lead all brand new, and they will throw in a game. (does not have the HDMI or TV lead).
All for £150, is it worth it?

That sounds like a good deal to me, you can't get the phats new anymore, so a new replacement would be the next best thing. However, I suspect that it is actualy a refurbished model, and these are a bit "Hit and Miss".

Thanks for the advice; I bought it!
It was in its original wrapping and had all the new clear sticky labels all over it. Do you still think that would be a refurb?

Why does Sony give you a non-vibrating controller? Why don?t they sell the DualShock Controllers with all their systems?

Wow, you did get an original. The early PS3 came with 6 axis only. Vibration did not come out for a year or so.
My referb did not have the original type of plastic adheasive wrap.
