Turtle Beach PX1 Microphone Problem

Hello there.

My Turtle Beach PX1 was purchased a couple of months ago and has been running fine until today. I turned my playstation on and it can't pick up any sound from the microphone. I've tried inserting it into the pc but still no sound is picked up. I don't understand how this problem can just happen when I have done nothing to cause it. Does anyone have any ideas of what I should do or if you have experienced this problem yourself?
