Im moving to Canada soon from the UK.

Im dilema is will my UK PAL PS3 work in Canada.

The PAL/ NTSC shouldnt be an issue as i will be connecting via HDMI cable.

Its the Power thats worrying me. Will i need a step up power converter or just a simple plug converter?

AFAIK, the PS3's power supply can determine whether the input power is 120V/60Hz or 220V/50Hz. And as you stated, games are region free and the video output shouldn't be a problem so I think everything will be fine. So long as you use the proper plug adapter of course, and I believe any North American PC power cable will work. Something along the lines of this.
