I recently purchased guitar hero world tour. After playing it for a couple of days my ps3 stopped reading the disk. I tried other ps3 games and same result. I updated the ps3 and the game started working again. Today, July 7 it gave me the same problem with not reading disks. I tried a few ps3 games and got the same results. I then tried a ps2 game and everything worked. I put a ps3 disk back in and now I get video but no audio. Could this be a problem with the update or my drive? Why would a ps2 game work but not a ps3 game? Any help and advice is greatly appreciated.

How old is your PS3? I am pretty sure your BR drive is stuffed. If its under warranty Sony will fix it up... if it isn't you have to pay i think it was $315?... do you have a local gaming store? My store fixes PS3 for about $150 flat rate so maybe you could try that.
