Well there was just 1 eboot file that came with the game,but I'll try the pkg file and let you know.thanks.Hey I came across this site link there is this mention of PS3 DEX to CEX Switcher PUP they seem to be pretty straight forward,but can I install a Kmeaw firmware after switching to CEX with the help of those POP's.thanks.

its more of dex to kiosk... and kiosk model does not behave like a normal one... you can actually buy one of those and convert them to retail.... im not sure you can go from DEX to DEMO/Kiosk to CEX/Retail lol you youre welcome to try... just a reminder kiosk deletes all the info from the unit each time its turned on lol ^__^

Well the pkg update didn't worked do it gave me an error when I tried run it,and also you were right about that dex to kiosk thing.

well i guess rogero didn't change the fact that his dex cfw does requite you to install debug pkg files... no matter... here are the files get all 3 extract and install it will let you install it this time... in case you're wondering about the eboot in the pkg i didn't touch it lol.. its 3.50 anyway...

Dude!!! it worked motorstorm is now up and running thanks for all your effort man.But there is one thing I don't understand that why wasn't the game running before and what did you do with the pkg file so that it ran this time.Thanks again for all your effort man.

the patch you installed has eboot.bin that's using 3.50 keys i didn't touch it in any way.... i just repack the pkg from retail to debug.... game patches work in a simple way... if it has an eboot.bin ps3 uses that and not the game eboot.bin.. that's all... as for why it was not working it was either not fit for dex or you just didn't delete the installed game files... or it was not patched right... there's plenty of reasons it didn't work... you can upload the eboot if you like ill check it...

No need man as you have already helped me a lot and I thanks you for that.But in the future when I want to run games with dex 4.xx firmware do I just put my games in an external hdd and run them from multiman or is their another procedure for that.thanks.

for backups 3.6x-4.21 you need usb hdd and ps3 generator and switch a mode for the ps3 and at least 1 update for the game you want...
for original games you don't need anything really original games work from 1.00 to 4.21 :3

What is the difference between dex and cex? I'm looking to install the latest Rogero firmware with the latest version of multiman. Is there anything special I should be aware of?

you don't need dex... dex is a debug system... dex does few things that a normal cex retail does not.. like installing any dex firm you want.. there's plenty of things dex does but you don't really need it...
