Just backing them up, or backing them up and playing them?
If you want to play them then it's the same solution as a year ago, be on fw 3.55 and install cfw.
If you want to play 3.6x+ games then you need a truw blue dongle atm, noone else seems to be bothered to hack the ps3 so it's either stick with old games, buy a dongle, or stick with offical fw and no homebrew or playing backups.

It isnt an issue with nobody being bothered to do it. The sign fail that allowed MFW is now patched and all the loaders are secured within LV0. As for the OPs question all the info BigO gave is correct. You need to be on 3.55 or lower and install a MFW. Once that is installed you need a backup manager (MultiMan or Rogero are my choices). If you choose MultiMan you will also need bdemu2.pkg Google is your friend for that ;)
