where's my MW2 trophys?

have just installed MW2 and played the first few missions and have yet to get any trophys, i checked my trophy list and MW2 is not their, and i know for a fact trophys are availalbe, anyone any ideas?

Modern Warfare 2 Trophy Bug

After booting up our copy of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 for the first time, you will be prompted to download a 15mb patch for the game. However, it seems that this patch is causing issues with the trophy system. On playing the game for the first time, the trophy list should be loaded on to your console, but this isn?t always the case. As a result, you will not be able to earn any trophies unless the list has been loaded.
Install the patch and see if the trophies load up on your first attempt. After starting a new game, press the PS button and check your trophy collection. If it isn?t there, delete the patch and boot the game without installing the patch, starting a new game to install the trophy list.
There ya go.

i got to the blizzard level before i realised i wasnt getting trophys i found the prevouse link when i googled for help. so i deleted the patch data loaded it up again canceled it when they tried to update again. i then started a new game and completed the tutorial level and checked my trophies ...still 0% no trophies unlocked
i repatched and tried again same problem. im gonna try deleting my saves and retrying it (hope that doesnt wipe my multiplayer rank)

Hope this gets fixed asap,could get the trophey list showing but still cant get the trophys.

yeah its a little frustrating, i`d love to think that the trophies mean nothing to me but hay i like unlocking things lol
EDIT
ok i got home i deleted my save file and the patch, i then loaded it up refused the patch and started a single player game, this time i unlocked a trophy. i quit out and let it patch and resumed game, i unlocked more trophys
oh and my multi player level is uneffected (so i may of missed out on some multiplayer trophies if there are any but i can live with that
