Hi i want to invest in a new control. I've had my sixaxis for quite a while now and the anologue sticks keep getting stuck and make annoying sounds when being used.
How is the dualshock, is it the same or do i have to get the sixaxis again :(
I believe the battery might have been upgraded to compensate for the increased strain of the rumble feature, so there's no loss in battery life, either. Or, at least, none that I've seen so far.
About the only difference between the two would be price. Sony doesn't even make the Sixaxis anymore, I don't think. Prices on that are probably dismally low (maybe as low as $5?), whereas Dualshock 3 controllers cost about as much as a new game.
No it isnt the same controller, the DS3 with SA.
Even the plastic is different, the SA is transparent the DS3 it isnt, and the finish is better.
The buttons feels the same except the L2+R2 that feels more smooth and the analog sticks are far better in any way.
The DS3 have better quality.
Either way now i dont think that you can buy a SA, sony stopped the production after the release of DS3.

The SA started as a black controler, and the DS3 is available in colors. I have an old sixaxis that came with my PS3 that I never use; I prefer the dualshock, even with games that don't have ruble, or games where I turn off the rumble. You can still get a used SA for cheap...I'm keeping mine as a backup, but many people just sell them.
