So here's the situation: a few months back I got the yellow light of death, but luckily I had my PS3 under warranty, so about a month ago i sent it off to them and they repaired it by replacing the mother board. Since getting it back I had no problems up until about 30 minutes ago when playing the Ragdoll Kung-fu demo. It did thee old turning itself off, and I pressed the power button, only to get the yellow light of death again. So as you do I went downstairs to get a sandwich, and then thought id just give it another try, and it turned on fine. After about 5 minutes it turned itself off again, so I turned it back on, and there was no ylod. I then turned it off, and decided to come on here to see if i could get any help. Anyone got any thoughts on this?
Sorry I should have said that it is a 60GB model I got on the UK release date. The warranty is with another company, which is who I sent it off to the first time. It will still be under warranty till next March, so I will probably keep using it for now as long as it remains playable, but I honestly don't have too much faith in it, so I'm expecting it will die completely soon.
