So I have the ps3break v1.1 I can upgrade the PS3break Burner file V1.5b with no problems but when i upgrade the new hex PS3break Burner file V1.5c it shows that everything is fine when upgrading but when i plug it into the ps3 the lights dont come on and it doesnt work at all. I can only get it working again when i downgrade it back to V1.5b. Anyone else having this problem or is another scam by ps3breal to get ppl to buy the the v.1.2 dongle?

If it s the dongle not upgrading to the latest file then they mis-sold you the product, they claim all dongles to be upgradable, so return it and ask for a refund. Contact ps3break first tellng them you are having trouble, then see what they say.

I think the naming convention for their upgrade files is:

c=v1.2
b=v1.1
a=1.0

That is, each of the versions takes a different hex file. For the 1.5 version of the hex, if you had the v1.2 device, you would flash 1.5c. Since you have the v1.1 version, it makes sense that the 1.5b works for you. I think all of the "1.5" files should be equivalent, just targeted for a different device.

Just checked their website and newbs is correct, the 1.1 cannot be flashed with 1.5c, you need 1.5b, so the different dongles do require different files, and so you want the b versions

Thanks a bunch, I guess that makes sense.
