I have a 3.1u softmod, and I cant seem to get mplayer ce to play dvd's.
I installed dvdx through Hackmii installer. Any advice?

Also To play newer games like the new mario bros that just came out (original copy or backup), Would I have to update to 4.0 or 4.1 w/ "Firmware Updater 4.0" ?

Try this version of DVDx. As for the New Super Mario Bros, it doesn't contain an update.

It Definetly HAS an Update! Just booted it on my 2.1u Wii.Asks to install update. Any patches,etc to fix this?

Not sure about the retail version, but my backed up copy didnt ask me to update, and i'm currently running 4.1U.
