Yesterday I updated to the latest firmware, which is 4.2U, if I remember correctly. Before that we just got into another bout of Mario KartWii for the family (which we loved playing together!) I did the update (though now I am regretting it) and kinda wish I didn't because now I can't play Mario Kart Wii Anymore (I also tried one other game backup which seemed to load the game but eventually ran into a disc error after the game's picture screen).
Does 4.2U with a WiiKey V.1 and 1.9S patch block mario kart wii!?
I can't find the original and we even went to GameStop but the game is still 50 bucks! We want Mario Kart back =( Any help is greatly appreciated.
As a note, we did have the Mario Kart Wii channel and that does not work as well. Thanks
I solved this by using the SD Card method. It is suggested to go to Walmart or whatever, buy a 2Gb Sandisk SD Card (worked well for me), and google the information on "Wii software mod". I can't remember exactly, but I found an article that walks you through it.
Now I just use a loader to load up my backups, thanks!
