Havn't been following the wii softmod scene for some time. Just wondering what the proper procedure is to update from 4.2U to 4.3U. Homebrew channel autoupdated itself and is current. I'm assuming that letting the wii run its offical update would be foolish. Thanks in advance.

Just like to have everything updated. Gets rid of the Wii always bugging me to update and less chance of someone accidentally doing it and screwing everything up.
it's useless. if you don't want updates, switch to a usb loader and install games to an external hard drive. only thing you have to install is any IOS missing.
I still don't know why you'd want to update, but off the top of my head, I don't know any Homebrew Updaters, but if you have Super Smash Bros Brawl NTSC-U or LEGO Indiana Jones with Indiana Pwns save file, you can update & then re-softmod.

Alternatively, you could access Priiloader to enable hacks to stop any updates.
Hmm, so there's no hacked updater or anything yet? If the only way to update currently means remodding via one of those pain in the ass methods than I certainly won't bother.
I'm not sure for certain that there aren't any Homebrew Updaters for 4.3, in my quick Google search, I couldn't find any, try searching for yourself. Like I said before, updating (especially to 4.3) is pretty much useless, anything that requires updating can be bypassed with homebrew.
Of course there probably are some safe updaters, but you'll have to find them yourself.
