I have a small problem and any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a Wii ver 3.3E. I followed this guide and installed the Homebrew channel and BootMii. I followed the 2nd and last step of that guide and didn't do the rest because it wasn't necessary at the time. But I think I have to do something now. I have IOS 1035 and like I said before a v3.3E firmware. I can't get Neogamma to load DVDs as I get the error - - "DVD Read Err (1101) no cIOS". On the bottom of the screen it says - Neogamma R7, IOS 35(Rev 1040).
What should I do? I've seen numerous sites and it's all confusing. Should I downgrade to 3.2, upgrade to 4.x, run TBR anyway or what? Also, everywhere I see people with IOS 1036, nobody with 1035, so that's also confusing. Do I need to follow a different procedure?
If I'm reading what you wrote correctly, you skipped the step where you install the cIOS, then wonder why you're getting a 'no cIOS' error? It's a necessary step.
Also, right at the top of that guide, it recommends that you use this one instead. That is the guide I always point newbies towards, as it is kept up to date and there are far fewer issues with following it. Having the wii softmodded on 4.2 will also let you run more games without problems than firmware 3.3 as well. Not that you can't run them on 3.3, but it is trickier.
Edit: Oh, and DON'T downgrade. More people have bricked their wii's trying to do that than any other way.
