Animal Crossing; City Folks disc error

I'm having trouble with Animal Crossing: City Folks (NTSC). I get a disc error each time I try playing the game using Disc Channel. Before posting this i've also tried searching this forum and others with no solution yet. A post mentioned install IOS38.64.3609 but that didn't work. Will someone please assist me or point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance...also let me know if i'll need help with Rock Band 2 NTSC
