help please.ive got homebrew channel running with various apps but cant seem to get back ups running?when i come to start the game from the normal game channel it just says disc error.?thanks

find a loader you want to use. put it in the app folder and select it from homebrew channel, unless you created a back up channel then use it.

More info would help.

As to if you have softmodded the system (including cIOS).

What firmware version are you on?

You can't just install HBC then a backup loader and play backups there is more to it. Knowing what you actually have done so far would help.

sorry forgot to mention it.my version is 3.2e and all ive done is basically put homebrew channel on sd card.and my wii hasnt had any chip of any kind just a standard wii from launch bk in 2006.thanks for your help people

I would use my guide in my sig.

All you need to do is follow the below sections in the order I have them...

SD CARD PREPARATION:

HBC 1.0.3 & BOOTMII INSTALL: (I would do this part to get the latest HBC and Bootmii which that protects from bricks).

cIOS38_rev14:

NeoGamma R7:

DOP-IOS:

4.0 SYSTEM MENU: then 4.1 SYSTEM MENU: (If you want to update to 4.1 firmware).

4.2 Shop Channel v18: (if you want to be able to acsses the shop channel).

Game Cube Support: (If you want to play GC backups on your system).
