backing wii against bricking

ok i keep hearing about that you can prevent your wii from being permanantly bricked but i was wondering how you do this and also how you would recover your wii if it was ever bricked.

any info is greatly appreciated

please... i really need help backing it up and how to recover it..

i know you can use either bootmii or preloader but i dont know how to tell if my bootmii was loaded as boot2 and i want to have it safegaurded when i start putting themes on my wii...

Go to the Bootmii website and look at the FAQ.

If you can't tell if you installed it as Boot2 or an IOS then maybe you should hold off on modding. Do some research first and learn as much as you can about the Wii mod scene.

well first before i reserch could you tell me wich is better. preloader or bootmii?? that way i dont use the wrong program to protect my wii. well not the wrong program but i mean the best program.

If you do some research you will find out that you should/could have both installed but primarily bootmii if it's in boot2.

First get your Wii working. Then do some research on which is best for protection. All the info is out there so learn to SEARCH!

im greatfull for your help but what do you think im doing while i wait for a response? and nvm ill just forget about the theme because it isnt worth it. at this point in time i mean. some day ill send another 3 days trying to figure out this issue next.
