So I'm going to India for vacation and I'm gonna be taking the Wii along with me. I didn't want to take my original games there so I was looking at making copies of all of them. I heard that you can't just put a Wii game into the drive and copy so I wanted to know what's the most effective way to copy the games. Mainly looking to copy Wii Sports and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Wii Sports is a DVD-5 and SSBB is DVD-9. I have a 16GB flash drive I can use to back up these two games. Wii is softmodded on 4.1u.

What I would recommend, is the configurable usb loader. All you would have to do then, is plug the drive in, and the wii will rip the game to the thumb drive, later you can load the games through that same drive.

I can't find the link to the one I use, but there are a few different ones out there, just Google it. Also you will need wbfs manager, to format your usb drive to wbfs (it's the file system the usbloader reads)

That is probably a better idea but I still wanted to know if it's possible to backup the entire disc. Since I'll be using it in India, I wanted to be able to use NeoGamma and use the patcher to patch my games to PAL so I can play them there. Can USB Loaders do that?

Yes. USB loaders have the option to force different region video outputs.
