Hi guys i have been reading a lot about putting homebrew on a 4.2e system. Some people say it has bricked their wii i just want to know is it safe to install the homebrew channel and which guide is best for doing it? Also i have read that a lot of backup games dont work on the 4.2 hacked wii??

It is safe to softmod a 4.2 Wii. Larry redid his guide and posted it on his blog. You can follow that. Not all systems bearing the aforementioned firmware are unable to play backups. There are several ones that can.

You can softmod a 4.2 Wii System. As far as I know all games will work on a softmoded system. You may need to do some sort of tricks to get some of the games to work (if you play games from other regions some are not region compatible).

I have a 4.2 softmod guide in my sig.
