I tried CFG, but that one couldnt find any of my USB devices, no matter what I tried of USB ports or inserting the USB device at different points of time (before booting, in the system menu, while loading CFG etc).
GX loader on the other hand works with all the USB HDs/memeory-sticks I tried.
I have no idea why this is, but I'll just stick with GX for now instead of problem searching CFG.
Originally posted by cee43ja1: GX is too clunky. when punch out came, it failed to load it, yet usb loader 1.1s with cIOS36_rev9 worked flawlessly; no patching, no tweaking.
general rule: always plug in the drive before turning on the wii. this is to ensure the drive is properly powered.
What about the actual drive any of them work better than others and does it matter what size it is. I have a 1TB seagate drive i assume it will work ok for it.
i personally use a custom built 2.5" drive; western digital scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig and AMS venus DS2 2.5" enclosure. only need one usb cable, and is all aluminum, so heat is not a problem.
