Best way to mod wii?

I have read through various threads, initially looking for a way to FIX my wii(tried soldering a chip to it almost a year ago), and ended up seeing that there are ways to softmod the wii, somewhat how the 360 is modded.

My only issue is, even with the extensive amount of info, I cant really pinpoint THE BEST way to softmod it. There seems to be various versions and IOS's that are available. Which is the best?!?

Read a few information about softmodding wiis.

If i were you...this would be my best bet..
