black borders on HDTV

Hi, I have black borders on my HDTV when playing the wii(mostly homebrew I believe)or maybe its not as noticeable on the actual wii games? anyway-

is there a way to get rid of the borders? i don't have wii component cables , i only have s-video and YWR standard a/v cables(currently using).wii is on 480i in options.4:3 and 16:9 both have borders.

I can't help but I wanted to let you know they're called composite cables (A/V / RCA / YWR). Do you have a zoom button on your tv, maybe you could try that if it doesn't cut off the sides?
