I'm new at softmod. I did the Modmii softmod as told by others here. All went well and everything looks good. However I'm confused about one thing. After removing the SD card that I used per instruction in the Modmii softmod, I reboot the console and went back into HBC and it was blank. Only the bubbles are there... But when I put the SD card back in and restarted HBC there was apps in HBC. Does that mean I always have to have that SD card in there to see any apps or do I need to install apps into the HBC? If so, how do I install apps into HBC? The Modmii instruction doesnt mention that...
Also I wanted to use the SD slot to play my wbfs backups but dont know how to do that. Is there instructions or links to what I need to install and how to prep my sd card to be able to play via sd slot verse the usb?
( I have a micro sd card that I formated into wbfs drive and inserted that into a usb adapter and was able to play my backups via usb loader channel without any problems ) I just didnt want to be messing with removing the usb adapter in the back of the Wii. So I was think if I could use a SD adapter for the micro 8gb card and just play from the front SD slot. Didnt know if it was possible. Thanx in advance...
Of course apps that were on my SD card from the Modmii softmod are: Multi-MOD Manager, WiiFlow, CFG USB Loader, IOS236 Installer v5 MOD, MyMenuifyMod, Priiloader 236 Mod, Simple IOS Patcher 1.14, and HackMii Installer.
How would add more channels into the Wii System Menu? ( like Backup Disk Channel, HBC, USBLoaderCFG Channel, USB Loader Channel ) I know those were added from the softmod but can I add more channels into the Wii system Menu? If so, how? or does it only get added into the HBC section?
Again sorry Im new to softmod and just want to understand how this all works. Thanks
If you have no apps - then they will not show up. The apps folder can either be on the USB or SD but they have to be somewhere if you use the modmii clean up it removes all the hacking programs - hence nothing in the HBC.
Channels are installed using a WAD manager (Multi mod manager is one) a channel is installed into the Wii menu so do not need a SD or USB to run, however if the program is updated (CFG) then you have to reinstall the channel, most people have a forwarder installed on the wii menu and the program in the apps folder (easier to update - uses less wii memory)
