After following larry's guide for a soft mod(awesome guide, very clear and simple) I backed up my wii a few times using bootmii as boot2. Now i went to back it up this morning and i got "backup failed -1" I had to restart my wii, and i did this again to the same results.
So I formatted my sd card and put bannerbomb and boot.elf back on and started from scratch.
I am gonna try to back up again, and i will post later with the results.
But my question is why would this happen?

A side question: is the ghostbusters update safe to do?

I am running ver 4.1u, and i'm not sure what cios or ios, but whatever larry's guide used. I think 13a.
Thanks!

Just an other quick q:
Does the sd card with bootmii have to be in the wii in order for it to boot as boot 2?
When i take the sd card out it doesnt boot, just want to make sure this is normal and i didnt mess up the install.
Thanks!
