Replacing the Hard Drive would not make a difference. The Hard Drive is just where Save Data/Channels are stored. I think the part you meant is The Motherboard. Replacing the Motherboard would cure you of your supposedly "unfixable" brick, however Motherboards are hard to find, they have to come out of a New Wii, and they cost just a little bit less than a new Wii Console itself, so they are quite expensive. Not a particularly desirable option.
However you if can find a way to fix it yourself it would be easier, faster, more convenient & cheaper. Please describe your problem to us accurately, & we may be able to find an accurate fix for you.
