I have a bricked wii that was on firmware 4.3 and had ios bootmii and preloader on it. Tried to downgrade to 4.1 but it bricked can not access preloader. Did not run a nand dump nor do i have the key. It is hard bricked screen just stays black. any ideas?

You could try the Savemiifrii method using a GC Controller. Get a GC Controller, and make sure all directions on the directional pad can be pressed down at the same time. If they can't, you may have to open up the GC controller and modify it from the inside. Once you've done that, plug it into the wii, turn on the console, & hold down all directions on the directional pad at the same time. If it works, you should see two numbers & a letter at the bottom-right hand corner of the screen, for example, 4.3E. From here, you may be able to launch some brick recovery discs if you have an autobooting modchip or Trucha-Bug.

If you cannot reach The Recovery Menu through Savemiifrii, then you'll have to resort to using a hardware fix.
