Okay, so here's my dilemma. My friend's Wii was bricked recently. We eventually got to the point where we were able to get to bootmii and preloader. Then, following this tutorial we tried to install the system menu and IOS60. The system menu installed, but not the IOS60. We were able to go to the homebrew channel through the main system menu, though.
So we tried another thread that said we should use the CB2_BB2_Cios38r14_installer. That went through but the IOS60 still wouldn't install in Wad Manager. Then, another thread told us to use CB2_BB2_Dop-Ios_Mod-v11.5 to install ios36 with fakesign, then try to install the WADs again.
We tried opening this in the Homebrew Channel, but then the screen just went black. When the system was rebooted, neither bootmii nor preloader would come up. Instead, there is this scrolling text.
So can you guys help me out? This place has always been really helpful to me in the past, so I have confidence in you all!
UPDATE:Okay, we found the boot.dol missing and were able to run the stuff to install IOS36 with Fakesign, but it says we already have it... so then why can't we install the IOS60patched wad that we have? What else could we be missing??
Aaaaand now we tried rebooting and it says DIS error and scrolls more text...
We removed the boot.dol and now the wad manager is loading again.. now trying to install IOS60patched again...
