I heard that you can burn WII Games with a LG burner. I was wondering if this LG model will burn the WII games. It's a LG - GH22LS50/22X LG Internal SATA DVD RW Light Scribe PC Burner. If someone knows if this model LG burner works please let me know. thanks so much. Dhazeman

you read wrong. it's READING the wii games that you need a specific LG drive. burning doesn't matter.

but then again, if you softmodded, you'd have a hard drive to store all your games. no burning required.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

also, if your wii is purchased from late 2009, YOU CANNOT USE BURNED DISCS.

While cee is correct in both his posts, he doesn't really answer the original questions.

Yes that drive can burn wii games, as can any other DVD burner. Just open the iso file in imgburn and burn onto good, name-brand media at 4x.

As he stated though, if you have a newer wii then it won't be able to read burned disks and you'll need to use a USB loader to play the games from an external drive.
