Can I safely update to 4.2U

Currently have a d2ckey, and 4.1U softmod, all works great.

Can I safely update to 4.2U ? And if so should I use the update on a game disc, or is there another safer way so that I can keep everything working.

Does the 4.2 break homebrew or have any other adverse side effects ?
I currently use USB loader, and install wads, so I don't want to lose any of that functionality.

Any info would be much appreciated.

If you update to 4.2 then it will uninstall all your homebrew and block the ability to play out of region games with your modchip.

You can easily reinstall all the homebrew and continue playing import games through gecko. But if everything is working fine then there really isn't much reason to update at this point. Basically the 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' rule is always the best one to follow.
