I looked everywhere and other places and either I'm missing something or it can't be done. If it's here and I just don't see it or get it please tell me. Forgive me if I missed it. Here's my question.

I have a WII with firmware 4.2U that was updated when it was asked on the WII mail menu.
Can this be downgraded to the 4.1U or lower firmware WITHOUT installing HomeBrew and all the other softmod stuff. I'm not interested in the Hombrew or the other hack stuff at this time.

That's fine if you don't want do share. Is the info somewhere else that I can get it from.
Time may come when you need help and I may have what you need. I have a vast amount of knowledge in the electronics, low voltage, data, telephone, sound, security, fire alarm, computers, etc. field.
Yes ... I know ... you're probably saying ... then you should know how to do it.
Well ... give it time ...

What would be the need to downgrade if your not going to run homebrew on it?

But you would need to softmod somehow in order to downgrade and that would need homebrew.

No-one's going to force you to help, but if you're going to post, post something of value, or not at all.

I wanted to get it back to 4.1 or 4.0 cause there's a few games I constructed and was testing. My daughter performed the update and I didn't know she did it. Now the games won't run ... not even with homebrew.

Follow this guide HERE to get homebrew up and running again on 4.2 firmware.
