can wasabi dx play scubbed backups?

iam new to the wii,so sorry for my ignorence,but i have just installed a wasabi dx chip in the wii and upgraded the firmware to version 3.all is fine apart from 1 scrubbed backup world sports party(disc reading error).can the wasabi chip play scrubbed versions? other backups so far have worked ok(1 scrubbed and 1 full).
and are there different versions of isos for softmod and chips?

Scrubbed games should not work, they should be original untouched images.
