Cannot Access SD card from Sytem Menu

I successfully(mostly) updated my wii from 3.1u to 4.1u following
the modding guide. Then I used the Firmware updaters and IOS60Patched.
Now when I click on the SD Card icon then SD Card menu is displayed
but my wii locks up. I have installed the CFG SDUSB Loader and it
works great, but I wanted to run some wiiware from my SD Card.
Any ideas?

Get rid of the private folder in the SD card.

How will this help. I want to also back up savegames. I have another
4.1u system that this works just fine on. That system was not upgraded
from a lower level, but this one was.

I didn't do all the DOP-IOS patching could this be part of the problem?

The fact that you installed IOS60 patched simply implies that you should be able to play Wiiware and VC from the SD card menu seamlessly. My only hunch is if you used Bannerbomb to softmod your Wii it may present a conflict when accessing the SD card. Try my first suggestion.

Thanks so much for the advice. I removed the old private directory
and rebuilt it with the 4.1 version. Wonder of wonders, it works great. I can now save game files and play wiiware games from the SD card. I am a very happy camper.
