"This installer cannot continue! There is no known vulnerable IOS installed on this Wii. Please note that we will not use a fakesigned IOS due to security reasons. If this is already the latest version...well, suck it.".
I followed an old forum here (http://forums.afterdawn.com/t.cfm/f-154/upgraded_to_4_2_want_your_homebrew_channel_back_here_the_fix-812461/3) and installed the files as stated to get me to load Bannerbomb and install IOS36 etc but when I click on the SD card via the Wii icon to load Homebrew it just freezes.
I tried installing trucha bug and selecting ios36 and then selecting to downgrade ios15 and I managed to get to the Wii Channel screen but the message is not there for me to load Homebrew.
I followed your info's and still no luck, got the same message:
"This installer cannot continue! There is no known vulnerable IOS installed on this Wii. Please note that we will not use a fakesigned IOS due to security reasons. If this is already the latest version...well, suck it."
This is a 4.2e Wii and I am helping my young nephew out. I have Softmod 2 Wii's before, one of them being Japanese and for some some this Wii is doing my head in.
theres actually a solution to this i ran upon a few months ago. You need the wad file of an earlier version like 4.0 first. Install 4.0e system menu . wad . After doing so reinstall homebrew. Then use safeupdate to 4.2E a file released by waninkoko on his website. It will get you back to 4.2E plus youll have homebrew.
Find the files yourself dont ask me even though i have it.

Hi WiiGenius,
I cannot find the old forum you have posted by last time as I wanted to read the solution from there so I can find out what you meant by " You need the wad file of an earlier version like 4.0 first. Install 4.0e system menu . wad"
