used larrys 4.2u soft mod guide 1 day shy exactly of a year ago, its worked perfectly until tonight.
one of the kids got 2 new games, and played them off the disk themselves
pokepark
starwars force unleased 2
kids go to bed, i fire up the wii, click on configurable usb loader cfg, click start, and it freezes on the loading screen. i have no idea what to do. ive tried the different usb port on the wii, same thing. hooked up the external usb drive to a computer to see if it worked and it did, i can look at all the files on the hd.

do i need to update something? could it be a corrupt file?
redo the soft mod?
the game files are in a folder wbfs. not really sure of any other deets to give to help get help and answers.
any help with kindness in explaining would be appreciated.
thanks

Check the Wii menu and find out what system menu it is on - sounds like they updated to play the games, hence they have overwritten the cios's, if you still have the Homebrew chanel it won't be too difficult to undo, but you will have re softmod or part re mod.

Once up and running (and sorting out the kids - it ASKED them if they wanted to update - and they said yes!)install priiloader, with this you can block updates from the internet and discs.

how do i check the wii menu to find out the system menu its on? do u mean where it says 4.2u? yes homebrew channel is still there. as per the system menu, other then the software version 4.2u, i dont remember what the system menu was if it has changed. can anyone point me to a guide that is made for redoing a softmod once another softmod has worked?
