Hi all,

I'm looking to update my cIOS38_rev14-installer on my wii v4.0E to see if I can get rid of the error #002.

I have search for an updated one and where to download it - no luck?

Can anubody point me in the correct direction or is the wii softmod scene dead now?

error 002 can easily be fixed with configurable usb loader and enabling the 002 fix for each game that requires it.

and if you want to update your ios249, google cIOSx rev19.

Just another noob question but how does the USB loader help in this case, what does it do?

All, I'm lost with all this softmodding.
This is what I have on my wii v4.0E now.


This is on my SD card.



Is there anybody that can explain to a real beginner what do and how to update this cIOS in order to get rid of this error #002 PLEASE!

You were already told to google cios38_rev19, so start there. Download and put it in your apps folder, then run it through HBC the same way you did rev14. I haven't bothered to run it so I'm not sure of it's specifics.

As for USB loader, it's a program that runs games off a harddrive connected to your wii with one of the USB ports; it's very convenient to turn on your hdd and there's all your games without having to **** around with a bunch of discs. When you choose the game you want to load you get a list of options to load the game with, one of which is the 002 fix. Larry has a guide around here for that too.

I'd refer you to Larry's softmod guide but it seems to be randomly disappearing lately. I'd recommend softmodding because it's much lower maintenance required, plus I figure it works a lot better.
