Coverfloader crashing at No USB Found.

First, I followed this guide to a T:

I installed WADs for Softchip and Coverfloader. Softchip until I bought a new flash drive to format for CF. Softchip worked great and Coverfloader loaded, it just gave me No USB Drive found, for obvious reasons.

So I went out to buy a flash drive, formatted it and loaded SMG2 successfully with WBFS manager, but now when I DO (or don't) have a USB drive in (either drive), it goes to the No USB Drive found page for a second then I get a really trippy code dump for a second, then my wii just goes black. No error codes or anything.

Has this happened to anyone? Is there a fix?

I'm considering just putting in my bought disc of SMG2, updating my Wii back to default settings and following the tutorial again. Is that advisable?

Softchip still works, btw. And I'm on 4.2u... or else I wouldn't be using said tutorial.
