D2pro9 modchip with 4.3U

I was trying to play a copy of MG2 and it didnt play so I went ahead and updated the wii from the settings to the latest 4.3U, did I screw up my Wii? what do I do to be able to play copied pal and NTSC games again? please help me.

When you update to 4.2 or higher, modchips lose their ability to play out-of-region games. Your modchip should still allow you to play backups, but only those that match your console's region, you will not be able to play foreign region games. The only way to get around this is to ignore the modchip & start using some softmods.

If your wii won't play backups at all, chances are it's a modchip-specific problem. If this is the case, you should just remove the modchip & use softmods, there's no point in trying to fix it if you can't use it's full potential anyway.

Thank you for ur fast response, my wii still plays old backups in matter of fact I got a copy of monopoli street US version and played, so the only problem like u said is that it wont play pal anymore. so I can softmod even I have a modship installed or I remove it then sofmod it?

Either way is completely fine, removing the chip is probably too much of a bother anyway.

Yes you can softmod even if you have the Hardmod installed.
