D2PRO and Wasabi DX

My friend has an older Wii with a D2PRO chip installed, which won't play some of the newer games. Could he install a Wasabi DX solderless chip and would it work with the newer games?

If not, can he remove the D2PRO?

forget that there's a modchip in there, and softmod. usb loaders will be much better than running from a modchip.

But it's for his kid who would find it easier to just stick a disc in each time?

doesn't beat pointing and clicking on the game covers.

if they want the actual disc at hand, that's what the originals are for. AND, all games are conviently placed on the hard drive, meaning no lost discs.
