DOP-IOS new question with previous guide modded wii

Is it possible to run the DOP-IOS utility on an already 4.1 modded wii using the old guide that previously used IOS-Downgrader? I have a hard modded wii and used the old guide to "soft-mod" so I could use wad files and what not. The problem I ran into with that method was having to do system updates on some games recently because of the downgraded IOS's.

Yes you can.

Take a look at the Update to 4.1 firmware with already softmoded system guide in my sig.

I read that, but it started out saying this
"If you have a softmoded system with 4.0 firmware or below and cIOS36 or above you can follow this guide to update to 4.1 firmware. "

I have a softmod with 4.1 firmware (not 4.0), and have whatever cIOS was in the last guide (I think it was 35?). Since I have 4.1, can I still use this method? Do I have to do all the steps or can I just do the DOP-IOS step?

sorry, I just wanted to be clear, is it possible to run just step 3 (DOP_IOS) and no other steps, since all other steps were done previously and working, minus the issue with games that want to upgrade previously downgraded ios's.
